GOLDEN ERA
REUNION PICNIC
Orting Soldier’s Home, Orting, WA
Sunday, August 29th for the Golden Era Reunion Picnic. The activities are open to any and all 'basically original or restored' vehicles. No Hot-Rods, Rest-O-Rods or non-authentic vehicles.
The day will start with a wonderful optional tour led by Sid Shoemaker.
The tour will leave the Park and Ride lot in Sumner at Main St. and the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe railroad tracks at 10:00 AM. and travel through some very scenic countryside and will arrive at the Washington Soldier's Home in Orting between 12 noon and 1 pm. The cars will then be displayed and judged.
If you chose to come directly to the Orting Soldier’s Home - Arrive between 11:00 & Noon
Hamburgers & Hot Dogs will be served between 1:00 to 2:30 pm at the Display/Picnic Area. This will be followed by potluck desserts. Bring whatever else you would like for personal consumption. Bring your own tableware.
(Please bring a non-perishable dessert item for the Dessert Potluck)
There are no charges for admission to the picnic or for the car show.
There will be raffles, door prizes, awards and trophies to be distributed in most all catagories. Meetings will be held by GEAA and other clubs.
Several 'original vehicle' car clubs have been invited.
Hope to see many clubs there.
